The 21st Century Migrant (White Collar) Worker
Once, while traveling overseas, we met a couple of interesting commercial airline pilots–one from Canada and another from the U.S.–flying for an Asian carrier. This aligned with a recent article about airline pilots finding work in the ever-expanding Asia/Pacific region, when flying jobs in North America dried up. They are the new migrant workforce, white-collar professionals going where the work is available. Many are downsized baby boomers, seeking challenging opportunities in an evolving economy.
