Overseas Workforce Issues
Inter-cultural & Maintenance Problem Solving
Given the fact that enormous numbers of operations of all kinds are now located throughout the international community, and also the fact that most companies now utilize work done by foreign sub-contractors, overseas vendors, and their own inter-company global factories, it is imperative that thoughtful instruction be given to better understanding cultural nuances and even shop floor protocol in far flung operating environments.
This training effort reduces the chances of misunderstandings that could otherwise lead to serious labor problems, costly downtime circumstances, safety & misunderstood negligence hazards, as well as breakdowns in otherwise successful company sponsored initiatives such as Lean, 5S, SPC, and TQM upon which large sums of money were previously invested over many years.
