Pumps & Pump Systems – Application, Operation, & Maintenance

Our goal here is to provide instruction in basic pump principles, the selection of correct pumps and motors for a particular task, pump start-up, alignment of the pump system, its maintenance and cost-effective operation. We teach the guidelines of curve charts for pump performance, the related gauges, and anomalies such as pump cavitation (its sound, smell, output), and remedies for pump problems versus system problems – and how to tell the difference.

The class further develops the analysis and corrective measures for seal failure and diagnostics to isolate specific concerns for maximum performance.
